HEAD racquet rebel Novak Djokovic ended the 2012 season with a 7-6(6), 7-5 win over Roger Federer at the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London. The Serb, who plays with a HEAD YouTek™ IG Speed MP, also finishes on Top of the South African Airways ATP World Tour Rankings for the second year in a row.

The victory marked the second time that Djokovic had won the ATP World Tour Finals after lifting the trophy in Shanghai in 2008. "This is my first time to be in this position here in London," said the 25-year old who started the 2012 season with the Australian Open title. "I can't think of a better way to start and end a season.”

“Being Number 1 in the world is the peak of all ambitions for every athlete and every tennis player”, Novak Djokovic confirms in his exclusive HEAD interview on http://www.youtube.com/headtennis. “It is very emotional, because it’s the moment when you start thinking about all the experiences you went through, all the things you worked on, and all the suffering that actually paid off. I embrace every moment of it.” In London, Novak Djokovic was also awarded Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year by the ATP for his contributions through the Novak Djokovic Foundation, his role as a UNICEF ambassador and other charitable ventures.

As well as defending his the Australian Open title, Djokovic reached the final at six ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments in 2012, winning titles in Miami, Toronto and Shanghai. He finished the season with a 75-11 record, winning more matches than any other player on the ATP World Tour this year. HEAD Tennis on Facebook now offers all fans of Novak Djokovic the chance to congratulate him for his fantastic season and help create a special gift for him. Novak’s fellow HEAD racquet rebel Andy Murray had lost to Roger Federer in the semi-final, but ended his season with high confidence after breakthroughs which included the London Olympic gold medal and his first Grand Slam title at the US Open, playing with his HEAD YouTek™ IG Radical Pro. "It was an incredibly positive year even if I would have loved to finish on a win. If you told me last year I'd be sitting in this position with the results I had this season, I would have agreed and signed up for that straight away”, said Murray. “I'm happy with the year and I'll work really hard in December to be prepared for the 2013 season."
