SportAccord set to launch the biggest ever World Mind Games Online Tournament
The wait is almost over for online gaming enthusiasts! SportAccord begins the countdown to the launch of the 4th edition of the World Mind Games Online Tournament on the 15th of September. The tournament, featuring bridge, chess and go, is being organized by SportAccord in partnership with RSportz, the community-based global sports network and online platforms BridgeBase Online, Chess.com and Pandanet.
The online tournament also marks the countdown to the 4th SportAccord World Mind Games to be held in Beijing from December 11-17 this year. Last year’s online tournament attracted over 700,000 players from all across the globe and SportAccord expects to comfortably attract a higher number of participants through the tournament online portal, www.onlinewmg.com. The portal will be the gateway for participants and enthusiasts for game rules, registration and all further information surrounding the SportAccord 2014 World Mind Games Online Tournament.

SportAccord President Clarifies plans of United World Championships
SportAccord president, Marius Vizer has taken note of an article in Around the Rings that has mis-quoted him regarding SportAccord’s plans to organize a United World Championships. SportAccord president, Marius Vizer has taken note of an article in Around the Rings that has mis-quoted him regarding SportAccord’s plans to organize a United World Championships.
During a press conference at the World Judo Championships in Chelyabinsk in Russia, responding to a question from an Around the Rings representative, on what the plans for a United World Championship may be, Mr. Vizer had stated, “If one day the member federations of SportAccord would like to see the creation of a United World Championship as a requirement and an opportunity, while at the same time all international federations would support such an idea unanimously, we can discuss the concept and sculpt it into an event that would be neither a competitor to nor against the Olympic Games.”
Additionally, Mr. Vizer expressed during the Olympic Summit that the target of SportAccord is to develope the multi-sport events organised under its umbrella (the World Combat Games, the World Mind Games, the World Urban Games and the World Beach Games).

Domnul Lucian Ionescu
- Director de imagine al indragitului club bucurestean Rapid - , a avut amabilitatea sa ne acorde un interviu telefonic in care a vorbit despre ce se intimpla la Rapid.

Situatia de la Rapid este departe de a fi calma
In aceasta dimineata suporterii au luat cu asalt ProRapid si au cerut demisiile conducatorilor .
Pe surse se spune ca : Nae Manea si Lucian Ionescu , deja au fost demisi , urmand ca in cursul zilei de astazi , si antrenorul Ionel Ganea sa fie si el demis de catre noul actionar.
In pole position pentru inlocuirea antrenorului se afla Ioan Andone.
