CAPTER 1 - LOCATION / VENUE / ACCOMODATION FACILITY

Location: Bucharest, Romania

Venue: Hotel Complex Silva / Sala Polivalenta ( Silva Polivalent Hall)

The venue are near Near International Airport "Henri Coanda" (around 20 km)

Acomodation an meal have discounts for those who will participate at this competition.

CAPTER 2 - COMPETITION.

This is one day event, ONLY FOR KIDS,  scheduled for the 14th of March 2020.

The doors are open starting 08:30 AM and the event begins at 9:30 AM.

Art.1 2020 WBJJA KIDS EUROPEAN OPEN CUP EVENT

This championship is organized by the World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association in collaboration with AGON SPORTS CLUB ASSOCIATION.

Art.2 TOURNAMENT FORMAT

2.1. The tournament will be pyramidal, the unbiased participants having a free match, randomly selected, by the smoothcomp platform;

2.2. The tournament will only have matches for the Gi and No-Gi division;

2.3. This submission fighting rules it s like IBJJF score system with a few small changes that will be displayed;

2.4. Matches for men and women will take place at the same time;

2.5. Each division has weight categories and an belts divisions;

2.6. Each match allows a person (the coach) to instruct his athlete on the mattress;

2.7. The coach must be WBJJA approved;

2.8. Parents, and friends  are not allowed in the contest area if they are not participants;

2.9. Each match will be judged by an official WBJJA referee ( World Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association) in accordance with the classic submission - grappling rules, similar to IBJJF.

Art.3 OFFICIAL REFEREES

The official list of referees will be displayed on the event page.

Art.4. MATCHMAKING 

4.1. We will place each competitor according to the belt, age category and weight category;

Art. 5. MEDALS AND RECOGNITION OF MERITS

5.1. The winners of each pyramid will receive the Gold medal and 90 points.

5.2. The second place will be awarded the Silver medal and 30 points;

5.3. The athletes placed in third and fourth place will receive both Bronze medals and 10 points;

5.4. the athlets who won by submission will take extra one point;

5.5. Competitors will be able to take pictures or download the photos made by our professionals on the spot (hopefully with medals);

5.6. We will quantify the score earned by participating in the tournament for each competitor and team;

5.7. This ranking will be available on your personal Smoothcomp profile and will be classified over seasonal and overall periods for Fighters and Academy.

IMPORTANT:

The athlet alone on the category will not receive the medal.

Art. 6 RANKINGS

6.1. The rankings of the competitors are global/continental overall and for each seasons for academy and individual .

Art. 7. FREE AVAILABLE SERVICES

- 2 Professional Photographers.

- Medical teams.

- 1 warming up mattress and 2 - 4 competition surfaces

Art. 8. EVENT VOLUNTEERING

8.1. Tasks will be easy and will not take more than 2-3 hours (setting up competition areas, sports adverts, water delivery, etc.);

8.2. Art. 9. RULES

9.1. Athletes and coaches must always have an identification document with a recent photo with them. These may be required by arbitrators or competition staff;

9.2. The general submission fighting rules follow the traditional grappling format, similar to IBJJF (http://ibjjf.com/rules) with the small changes that will be displayed on this page;

Art. 10. REGISTRATION FORMALITIES

10.1. Athletes must register for each weight and age division in which they wish to participate;

10.2. Pre-registration required. We do not accept on-site registration or unfinished registrations before the registration deadline (March 10th , 2020).

Art. 11. CHANGE OF DIVISIONS

11.1 After the registration is complete, you may continue to make changes to the category in which you have registered until the last day of the changeover deadline (March 11st , 2020, 23.59);

11.2. You can adjust the registration details on your Smoothcomp account;

11.3. After the registration deadline has expired, your details can no longer be changed.

11.4. WBJJA can not guarantee that each competitor will have an opponent on the category to which he has entered, but makes every effort that each participant has a match, which is why we reserve the right to allocate you to another reasonable division if after the deadline you are alone in the division as follows:

-  For competitors to whom we will not find an opponent using the algorithm described, will automatically be classified to the upper belts division, until will be find a oponent and upper age category,  with NO AGE DIFFERENCE BIGGER THAN 2 YEARS.

ART.12 PARTICIPATION and COACH FEES

Please reserve your place in the competition in advance for lower fee. 

If payments are made closer to the closing date, the participation fee will be higher

Early registrations -  16 EURO / division - until february 10st, 23.59;

Normal registration - 25 EURO / division-  until february  29th, 23:59;

Late registration -  35 EURO / division - until march 10 th, 23:59 

For a good organization, the coaches have to be registred. Thy will take a band rwist to can coaching.

The fee registration for coach is 5 euro.

Entrance fee for viewers: 5 euros or equivalent in Romanian currency.

Payment must be made before the deadline (March 10th , 2020) online via the Smoothcomp platform.

Art.13 RETURN POLICY OF THE REGISTRATION TAX

13.1. You will be refunded 100 % of the registration fee just for medical reason.

The refound will be made in 30 days after competition it is close.

13.2. The registration fee will not be refunded if you do not fit within the weight category you have chosen or if you are not present at the competition area when the match begins;

13.3. All returns have as deadline March10 rd, 2020. If your scheduled matches can not happen for reasons beyond our control ( your scheduled competitor withdraws from registration after the closing date, injuries, etc.), we will give you gratuitousness for the next event we will organize;

13.4. Matches that can not occur due to disqualification, as set out in the Competition Rules, do not entitle participants to claim refunds.

Art.14. TRAKING OF MATCH PLANNIFICATION

You can watch real time match planning by following our Smoothcomp platform.

During the tournament you can check the matches that are held and the next two matches that follow on the main display screen in the hall.

There will also be sound announcements for matches (the one starting , on which surface, as well as the next two matches)

14.1. It is allocated 1 minute for athletes to to present themselves on the mattress at the beginning of the match.

5 minutes are allocated for athletes to resolve any equipment or personal issue that may be reported by tournament staff.

Art. 15 WEIGHING

15.1. Each competitor must be within the weight limit he chose at the time of the check-in or when he enters the competition;

15.2. This is the only time we carry out the weighing and is valid for the rest of the competition;

15.3.  Weight In scale tolerance is 100 grams.

Art.16. MEDICAL PROBLEMS

16.1. It is the responsibility of each athlete to ensure that he / she is medically fit, is up to date with medical check-ups and has the permission of a sports physician to participate in the tournament. For minors, responsibility lies with the parent / guardian or coach accompanying him / her;

16.2. On site there will be a team of doctors and paramedics for first aid and possible tour-related injuries;

16.3. The organizer will not be able to treat other conditions that are not related to an accident during the tournament (such as headaches or stomachaches).

Consequently, each team member must take the necessary medical measures in order to be able to participate in safety and comfort at the sporting competition;

16.4. Insurance for any type of injury is the responsibility of each sportsman / parent / coach.

Art.17 VISA

17.1. For those in need of a visa, WBJJA offers an invitation to participate to the event.
